Sustainable Design Mechanics for Wearables: a Boutonniere!
As a Mayesh Design Star I had the opportunity to share with you all some of the tips and tricks I have for being as simple and sustainable as possible. In this video from the Mayesh Design Star Series, I show how to use unpainted wire (I call it naked) and organic non chemically treated dried moss to support flowers and foliage into creating a wearable boutonniere.
Take a look at the video here via the Mayesh website.
or follow the link here to see it on youtube.
Here is a list of the ingredients I used for the boutonniere:
flowers:
mini calla lily in white
strawflowers in peach
freesia in blue
Hopseed foliage in purple
Jubilee leucadendron
tools:
organic natural dried moss
cotton or hand dyed silk ribbon
copper wire small gauge
aluminum wire small gauge
needle nose pliers
clippers
water vase
