This Summer we created some beautiful designs for a wedding at the Presidio. From large floral pieces in copper buckets, to sprawling table designs featuring citrus, it was a lot of beautiful color and texture in the Log Cabin. Take a look at some of the beauty from the day:

The Simple and Natural Bridal Bouquet.
It was a beautiful and bright occasion.
It's prime wedding season, and we get asked to create designs in all manner of colors, textures and styles. Our favorite are natural and lush arrangements. This wedding order for a ceremony in Yosemite included a wild and textural feel, with bright and natural colors. We wanted to use flowers that would last in the heat as well. Take a look at some of the rustic, wild elegance we created for this couple.

Here are more beautiful images from last Summer's Vintage inspired wedding at the Berkeley City Club. The centerpieces were so fun to dream up, lots of fun vintage pieces like phones and typewriters, vases and candlesticks. The best part about all this decor, it was the epitome of reuse! Here is the second segment of beautiful shots from the photographer Sonya Yruel...

Last summer a good friend's sister got married in Napa at the Hans Fahden winery in Calistoga. The ceremony and reception was a small gathering of close friends and family. I was so very happy to help them with their personal flowers and overjoyed to see how beautiful everyone looked. The location is so breathtaking and sweet. Take a look for yourself:

Current wedding trends include oversized or large and trailing bouquets for brides and their bridesmaids. Here are a few examples of a couple of large bridal bouquets we created this past summer. The brides looked better with them than I do, so I hope to showcase some of their photos in a later post. We currently have two style options in our online boutique, a "rounded" bouquet and the "oversized" bouquet. We are seeing about half of all brides choosing the larger option. We look forward to creating more this year.

A long time friend of mine got hitched at San Francisco City Hall a few months back, and reached out to me for a beautiful bridal bouquet and boutonniere. Of course, I had to oblige and try to knock their socks off. Here is a quick pic of each that they used for their simple but beautiful City Hall wedding.

This summer we were chosen by one of our very own featured boutique artists, Kyla of Impressed by Nature, to do her wedding flowers! She ordered some beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres for the wedding party and simple blooms for lots of bottle and jars she collected. Kyla is the creator of beautiful pressed flower jewelry designs, made from local blooms. She uses copper findings for the metal's healing benefits, and has started to include beautiful glass, wood and metal beads as part of her designs.
The colors were all colors of coral, including peach and blush tones with succulent greens.
We used all locally grown flowers, including blush cafe au lait dahlias, sage succulent rosettes, peach gravillia, coral dahlias, coral garden roses, protea, coral passion vine and lots of greens. Take a look at the beautiful couple and blooms who were a part of the beautiful day:

A few weekends ago we created designs for a lovely wedding at St. Vincent's church and reception venue. A beautiful old church and grounds in San Rafael, Marin County. The couple wanted bright and colorful flowers with a flavor of tuscany, to match with the grounds and details of the venue. We used all local grown flowers, and since we are a green business, we never use floral foam. Even the centerpieces are floral foam-free, which is tough to do with such low containers.
